A travel company with a difference; Virasat Journeys offer clients a unique experience which transcends the boundaries of the traditional holiday experience. We partner with local NGOs and non-profit organisations that will benefit from a percentage of the profit from our walks, activities and tours.

Our aim is minimal negative and maximum positive impact on the people and places where we operate.

We focus on livelihood creation; through our tours artisan craftsmen and musicians are able to continue working in their specialised fields, as opposed to pursuing other employment which would take them away from their community We limit group sizes to between 6 and 12 people to ensure that the clients have a memorable experience, but also to ensure that the local community is not affected in an adverse way and that the tours are low impact and sustainable. We do not impose our own values on local people that we work with, they are treated as partners and have their own say in how things are done. We recruit only local staff; all our guides are from the surrounding community Any accommodation we recommend we select with care and consideration for our clients and for the benefit of the local community. Where the benefit is mutual we will stay within a rural village; facilities are often basic, however they will be clean and comfortable. The experience, priceless! We encourage clients to respect local traditions, culture and religious beliefs and avoid wastage of local resources.
